Mary Kate Viall, ALC
In therapy, we discover where we are, determine where we want to go, and identify the steps to get there. All parts of you are welcome in therapy; whether you feel numb, stuck, sad, mad, strong, or curious. I provide both support and a safe space as you explore the cast of characters in your story, gain the courage to make new choices, untangle patterns of relating, or seek to show up differently as a parent, partner, or friend. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy. I have competed basic training in EMDR, and I am certified in Gottman method Level 1 and Prepare/Enrich.
I am an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) under the supervision of Lacey Amos, LPC-S. I received a Master's degree in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). I also have Master of Theology (ThM) in Intercultural Studies and a BA in English Literature and a TESOL certificate. Outside of work, I spend most of my time playing with my family, exercising, or relaxing.
Hello, I am glad you’re here.
